I (Natalie) have had the unique opportunity growing up around weddings and events. My family owns a wedding venue/ winery, so I learned at a very young age that I had a passion for planning and executing all the details. This is where I learned the ins and outs of weddings, venues, OLCC rules, ex...things you should know as a planner so you can help your clients get the perfect venue and vendors for their wedding day or event. I received my bachelors degree from OSU in 2006 and then took on roll in Corporate event planning. In 2007, I decided I wanted to get back involved in weddings- my passion, so I slowly started coordinating weddings. In 2014, with the help of my husband Dan I was able to leave my corporate event planning career and fully expand Carpe Diem Weddings and Event's. We have seen and been involved in just about every type of wedding and event. We have been fortunate enough ( and super picky) to find a team of coordinators and staff that without a doubt will do everything in their power to help make your event flawless!
Why the Name Carpe Diem?
Dan and our entire Johnson family live their lives by the saying "Carpe Diem" . The Latin aphorism for "Seize the Day". The reason being, Dan's twin brother, 1st. Lt Michael Johnson was killed in action while serving in Afganistan in 2009. The Johnson family has since used the phrase in honor of Mike.
While trying to come up with a name for our business, Dan suggested Carpe Diem Weddings and Events. I could not think of a better name or higher honor for our Company. - Seize the Day, Your Wedding Day - Carpe Diem
